Oberndorf in Tyrol – Eintracht Braunschweig completed an intensive training camp at the idyllic Hotel Penzinghof in Oberndorf in Tyrol at the beginning of June. Under the leadership of head coach Heiner Backhaus, the team utilized the optimal environment of the Koasastadion in St. Johann in Tyrol to prepare for the upcoming season in the 2. Bundesliga.
The team started daily with a structured program that included tactical sessions in addition to monitoring and fitness exercises. A particular focus was placed on pressing and quick transitions, as demanded by the coaching staff. The players, including new signings like Ron-Thorben Hoffmann and trial players like Lennard Becker, showed full commitment. Two friendly matches against Istanbul Başakşehir (0:0) and Plymouth Argyle (1:0) rounded off the training camp and provided valuable insights.
Hotel Penzinghof, with its wellness area and regional cuisine, offered ideal conditions for recovery. With a lot of sweat and sun, the Lions now return strengthened from the St. Johann in Tyrol holiday region to Braunschweig, ready for the final warm-up matches.
