Energie Cottbus at Training Camp at Hotel Penzinghof
Oberndorf in Tirol – FC Energie Cottbus completed its summer training camp at the idyllic 4-star Hotel Penzinghof in Oberndorf in Tirol. Following their promotion from the 3. Liga, Claus-Dieter Wollitz’s team prepared for the new season in the German 2. Bundesliga in the Kitzbühel Alps, taking advantage of the optimal training conditions at the football pitch in Oberndorf in Tirol.
The sustainably managed Hotel Penzinghof, with its own farm, regional cuisine, and infinity pool, provided the ideal conditions for intensive training sessions, regeneration, and team building. In addition to the daily sessions, several friendly matches were on the schedule, including one against Red Bull Salzburg. After more than ten years without a summer training camp away from home, the traditional club deliberately chose the professional infrastructure and quiet location in the St. Johann in Tirol holiday region.
With plenty of sweat and sunshine, “the Lusatians” have now returned from Tirol to Cottbus strengthened and ready for their final pre-season matches.
